Since my college years I have been interested in information technology. At age 16 in 1969, I took my first course dealing with information technology-sibernetics. Since my first exposure, I have advidly followed up with new advances in technology and communications. Although my degree was in business administration, I continued with my fascination with technology. The advent of the internet brought with it unlimited possibilities in the expansion of global communications,and provided new concepts in marketing. During those early days of the internet, my daily question to the systems manager in my company was the same: when can we have our own website? His response was always the same: we are studying the new programs to make a website.Not happy with that response, I looked to other professionals in the field that would tell me what I wanted to hear, and I had my first website. After several years, the bankruptcy of my cargo airline brought great changes to my life, both personally and professionally, and I decided to emigrate from Peru to this great country-the USA. These changes enabled me to meet a marvelous person who is now my wife.She, having discovered my inclinations and capabilities towards technology and graphic design,"forced" me to engage in the world of the internet, web design and e commerce. Initially as an experiment for a small business, these activities blossomed into a web-design, web management, and web-hosting business. It was through my wife that I also heard about that enchanting corner of the state called North Florida. My wife Alina had stayed at Goldhead Branch State Park many years before and had become enamored with the area. It had always stayed in the back-burner of her mind for further reference. I also became entranced with the area from internet real estate searches and a brief interstate trip that took us through some winding country roads in the area. The unique characteristics of the area: its climate; its people; its landscape,drew me in easily. A bit tired of the hectic lifesyle of the big city (Miami), we looked for a "special" place that would cradle our city-weary spirits. We looked for these particular characteristics: not too far from big cities and important tourist attractions; reasonable travel distance to the beaches,but far enough away from the threat of hurricanes; lots of trees and natural areas; lakes;rivers; springs;friendly people; and an ideal climate. This is how we came to discover the enchantment of "Tree City"- Keystone Heights.This is how we decided to become neighbors in this beautiful city-a place where we can explore who we really are.
